these cinnamon biscuits are an Arnotts old school classic. really easy and fun to make. makes 36. recipe written below. 3 cups plain flour sifted 1 tea spoon baking powder set aside 240g butter chopped at room temp. 1 cup brown sugar 1 tea spoon vanilla extract 2 tea spoons cinnamon 1 tea spoon all spice or mixed spice 1/4 tea spoon nutmeg pinch cloves optional beat til light and fluffy then add 1 large egg at room temp. beat on low til mixed in add to flour mix together with back of spoon then add 1/4 cup small black currents flour on hand knead to a ball cover glad wrap and fridge 1/2 hour pre heat oven 160 degrees c baking tray with paper roll out dough between glad wrap cut circles using a 6 and 1/2 cm round cutter it was perfect use 2 smaller things to make indents bake approx 18 mins til light golden brown pull sheet off and leave to go cold made 36 290g white chocolate into heat proof bowl over saucepan of boiling water from the kettle melt mix in a drop or 2 of pink or red food dye drop small amounts onto middle of biscuits allow to set put in a tin or jar 💜💜💜💜
