It took place on a 240-hectare farm in Bethel, Sullivan County, New York State. Thirty-two acts took place during the festival that brought together some 400,000 people. Woodstock became the icon of a generation fed up with wars and that proclaimed peace and love as a way of life and showed their rejection of the system. Here part of the shows with improved sound.
