Morning Walk through Snowy Mountain Village | Shirakawago, Japan 4K

Walking in morning snow through Shirakawago, a traditional village in the mountains of Gifu, Japan. Shirakawago is one of Japan's most iconic, and despite it's remote location, one of its most visited villages. In the winter the thatched roof houses are covered in a thick layer of snow, and tourists come from around the world to walk through the streets and roads surrounded by white mountains and wild nature. I wanted to walk the village in the quiet morning hours to experience a bit of wintery village ambiance. I didn't realize that there would be so many snow plows and people shoveling snow out and about, but perhaps that should have been expected.
