This section began at Chapter 1:10 and now concludes at 4:21. Divisions have arisen because of the Corinthians preoccupation with their former ethos. Many of them had been “up and coming” in the world of finance. Now, Paul is urging upon them the notion that “being somebody” is sometimes very costly. Many of us know the Corinthian ethos very well, and it is hard for us to take the road less traveled. In this message, we will look at Paul’s use of imagery and words can challenge false pride.
