#songwriting Writing Chords To A Melody With Toontrack’s EzKeys Part 2 - Verses & Pre-Chorus
►► Free guide - Write your next song in 15 minutes https://mailchi.mp/41acd02cd0cd/freeg... Hello and welcome to part 2 of this two part series where I write a piano and vocal, singer songwriter type of ballad for a recent client of mine and I wound up using Toontrack’s Ez Keys to get the job done. So just to give some context, I received a custom song order from a customer last Monday which is in essence, a personalized song that tells the recipient’s story. These types of songs make for gifts for all kinds of occasions like weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, etc. ►► You can learn more about all that at www.yourcustomjingle.com @yourcustomjingle In part one, I put together a chorus by building out the chords based off of rough vocal melodies I hummed into my phone so if you haven’t seen part 1 yet, be sure to check it out as it will provide context but for today’s video, I’ll be repeating the process to finish the song so I’ll be focusing on building the verses and pre-choruses. Stick till the end to check out the finished song by the way... ►► Following specific songwriting prompts can be a great way to stretch creatively by venturing outside your comfort zone. If you’re interested in grabbing a copy of the songwriting prompt I used to write this song, jump on my mailing list (grab the free guide to opt in) and shoot me an email with “SONGWRITING PROMPT” in the subject line. What’s your experience with writing from voice recordings? Any struggles? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching.
