How To Obtain High Runes In Diablo 2 Resurrected [For Beginners]

However, the ghost specters there have higher rune drop rates and can drop up to a Jah rune. Keep in mind that whatever method you choose, there will be a lot of grinding and luck involved. I will start off with target farming. Ideally, you need a fast farming build that excels in clearing a specific area. Popular early ladder builds include the blizzard sorceress, fist of the heavens paladin and hammerdin. The Cow Level in Hell is a great spot to find high runes. The Lightning Fury Javazon and Trap Assassin are 2 good budget builds to kill cows quickly due to the high density of monsters in a small area. Teleport is not required but it does help most builds get to the area quickly. The Worldstone Keep from the level 2 waypoint to Baal’s throne room are great places to farm for runes as the monster density is quite good. Having teleport here helps if you just want to farm the throne room. However, the occasional large pack of Burning Souls may deter some builds from farming this area. Travincal is another good spot not just for high runes, but also for getting rare items and gold. The gold find barbarian is a great build to farm this area and many players have found high runes here. Farming Lower Kurast is another option to find high runes. This works best in single player, as you can find a fixed map that has a fireplace with 7 torches. On the top and left side of this fireplace, there are 2 super chests in each of those huts that you can open for up to a potential Ber Rune. You can roll for a map that has 2 of those fireplace areas near the waypoint, making the run even more efficient. The nearby chests, logs or corpses can drop up to a Jah Rune. You will want to do this on the setting of players 7 or 8. The good thing about this method is that it requires no magic find, but you will not be gaining experience from doing this. For multiplayer, it is not ideal due to randomized maps. The next method is keyset farming to fight the Ubers. Although you can only get runes up to an Ist from the Countess, she can also drop the Key of Terror. When you farm the Key of Hate from the Summoner in Arcane Sanctuary and Key of Destruction from Nilathak from Halls of Pain, all 3 keys can be combined in the cube to create portals to fight Uber Duriel, Lilith or Uber Izual. After that, you can cube the unique drop from each boss to open a portal to fight Uber Diablo, Uber Mephisto and Uber Baal. After defeating them, you will get an unidentified torch, which you can trade for a Vex rune depending on the current economy.
