R/ - You forgot God who gave you birth. Gosp. : Mtt. 19:23-30. Message : IN YOUR RICHES AND PLENTY, DO NOT BE TOO SELF DEPENDENT AND CLAIM INDEPENDENCE FROM GOD. "In his riches man lacks wisdom". When a person has made it in life, they get too self dependent and think they don't need God. They allow their successes and achievements get into their heads, and they think they have become gods themselves. Some even think their success is a result of their own hard work, and they question the place of God in their lives. This is why it may be hard for the rich to enter heaven. They become proud, boastful, arrogant, and self-sufficient. They enthrone their riches and have every other person under their feet. Their money speaks. They can kill you and pay.
