Bad Timing Chain Noise/Sound/Symptoms 👉 ‪@montoya_garage‬

This is a quick and simple way to isolate and diagnose a noisy timing chain. First, you have to take the serpentine belt off. Doing this you exclude the possibility of another engine accessory, pulley, alternator, water pump, or tensioner to make such rattling noise. At this stage, you have only the timing chain spinning once you start the engine. It becomes obvious where the rattling noise is coming from, the timing chain itself.
