McKee's Pathology of the Skin 5th Edition - Textbook Review
McKee’s Pathology of the Skin has been my go-to Dermpath reference textbook ever since I was in fellowship. I fell in love with it because of the numerous high quality images, both microscopic and clinical. It is also well written with practical tips and guidance on how to distinguish entities from their mimics. I still use this book regularly in my practice, and I also use it to teach my residents. In this 5th edition, Drs. Calonje, Brenn, Lazar, and Billings have taken on the daunting task of carrying forward Dr. McKee’s legacy and upholding the standards of excellence and quality that made his textbook a classic. They have succeeded brilliantly. Conflict of Interest statement: I requested a free copy of this textbook so that I could review it. The book was then added to my department's dermpath library rather than to my personal library. I received no financial compensation for performing this review. I will not receive any compensation from sales of the book, either. This video represents my honest personal opinion based on my review of the book.
