This clip is one of the best ever. All of the insanity of the scene, firecrackers popping, Jesse's Girl blaring, violence imminent at any moment, and the longest closeup shot I can think of in all of movie history, just on a character's face, nothing said, only things happening around him, but it's all about what's going on in his head. This is Mark Wahlberg and PTA at the top of their game. What an amazing scene. What an amazing shot. What amazing confidence to have a shot like this among so much insanity. Something about this particular shot used to rev me up back in the day... Love it!
