More of George Jones' Closest Family, Friends Pay Their Final Respects - Stacy McCloud

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - George Jones' widow Nancy hosted a private visitation Wednesday in Nashville. A line wrapped around the building full of family, Grand Ole Opry members, A-lister country singers and politicians. They all had one message: We are here saying goodbye to the soul of country music. People from all walks of life showed up Wednesday night to pay their respects for a man that was more than a legend. To those people George Glenn Jones was a husband, a dad, a grandpa and a dear friend.I've lost a great friend, and the world has lost a great voice, says Brenda Lee. It will never be forgotten and isn't that great? We are here tonight to celebrate not his passing but his life and what he gave. I'm glad to be a part of that.The line to get in to the guest list only visitation was wrapped around the funeral home. In it, relatives, neighbors, old band mates, people that grew up in the business with him, as well as politicians and A-listers of today.We lost one of the big ones, says Bob Schieffer. There will never be another one like George Jones. He was a country song, his life was a country song.We are all God's own individual works of art in country music, George Jones is His masterpiece, says Debra Allen.When I pulled up here I wasn't expecting this, says Oak Ridge Boys' Richard Sterban.
