Stanford University Public Worship - Service of Thanksgiving and Baptism - December 1, 2024

University Public Worship gathers weekly for the religious, spiritual, ethical, and moral formation of the Stanford community. Rooted in the history and progressive Christian tradition of Stanford’s historic Memorial Church, we cultivate a community of compassion and belonging through ecumenical Christian worship and occasional multifaith celebrations. Historically a Christian rite of initiation, the sacrament of Baptism is available at Memorial Church for children and adults twice per academic year during the Fall and Spring Quarters. It is offered during University Public Worship and is not a private ritual or ceremony.
