From there, Donell spoke about his song “Where I Wanna Be,” which he said was a true story about his position dealing with fame while in a relationship. Donell explained that a lot of women were throwing themselves at him, and he didn’t want to cheat on his girl, so he broke up with her. Donell admitted that a lot of people still approach him about the song, some good and some bad, and Donell revealed how his girl reacted to the song. This led to Donell speaking about writing songs from the heart, which he agreed with Shawn Prez about those songs becoming the big hits. When asked how his life changed after having hit songs, and he explained that his lifestyle of being in the club led to him drinking more, cheating, and not focusing on his music.
