Resident Evil 3 Boss Fight #9 Nemesis T-Type {Clocktower: 1F Hall}
This is a series of videos where I fight Nemesis on almost every occasion, setting up as conditions manual reloading during battle, always staying on ECG fine and using a different arsenal of weapons (or ammunition). For this confrontation, I used the SIG Pro SP2009 and.. something else. I'll be documenting my experience recording the video. Think of it as a making-of bonus description. I gave up on using the SIG Pro SP2009 only the moment I got a perfect battle on my second try. I figured I might try something new and inspired by a thing I had done before. I'm not a big fan of the survival knife but if there was a place to use it it would be this fight. Unfortunately, recording was not as easy as the other videos I had done before. I'd say recording this video alone took me more time than recording all the others combined. Why was this so difficult then? That tentacle whip of Nemesis. At first, I intended to get a no-damage against Nemesis in this battle. I figured that if I was going to use the handgun for the first portion of the battle it was at the least a condition I had to set up. After a lot of tries, I completely gave up on that idea for the safety of my keyboard. I later found out that tentacle whip of his could be avoided as long as you knife him from a considerable distance. I don't think I found a more tense battle than this. There's no way to describe how fast my brain processed this fight. I didn't have time to think. It's literally a battle where your brain and your fingers react every second and a half to whatever is happening without considering what's next beyond the obvious. A lot of trial and error sets up the necessary reflexes to act accordingly but most of this battle is moved by pure instincts. For example, when Nemesis tentacle whips me two times in a row and I manage to evade that by downwards knifing him, I wasn't considering that I was going to be hit by it if I was standing still. Maybe subconsciously I did but in the heat of the moment all I was doing was taking advantage of his tentacle whip animation without consideration for the insane range that thing has. In Carlos' own words, there was no rest for the wicked in this battle.
