Battle on Bago ice tournament

Hi family fishing Ed and I decided to go to Battle of bago ice fishing tournament in lake Winnebago. We thought we were all prepared until we hit a snowsquall which is a mini blizzard. The snow was falling so hard until we decided to leave all of our equipment in the truck. Which turned out to be a bad mistake because both batteries to the battery operated ice auger died. We could not cut a hole in the thick eyes because we had no battery. We had an ice shani, a heater to keep warm and the battery operated ice auger. We both was dressed for the weather to be very frigid we had on many layers of clothing. It turned out with all of our preparation and mistakes we still did not end up with a fish the 1st day was a bust.
