HOW TO PROPAGATE SALVIA ‘AMISTAD’
Salvias are such fabulous plants and they are super easy to propagate in water. This is a great and quick way of creating more plants for free, especially if you like salvias. Your cuttings will root within 2-3 weeks. HOW AND WHEN TO DO IT 🧚🏻 Cut strong, healthy stems without buds on them in early Autumn 🧚🏻 Take 4 inches long healthy and vigorous stems for rooting. 🧚🏻 Remove all of the leaves from the lower 2 inches of the stem. WHERE TO STORE YOUR CUTTINGS 🧚🏻 Keep your cuttings in a light, frost free place, but out of direct sun. FEW OF MY FAVOURITE SALVIAS 🧚🏻 Salvia ‘Amistad’ 🧚🏻 Salvia nemorosa ‘Caradonna’ 🧚🏻 Salvia ‘Love and Wishes’ 🧚🏻 Salvia patens ‘Cambridge Blue’ 🧚🏻 Salvia x sylvestris ‘Rose Queen’ 🧚🏻 Salvia x sylvestris ‘Mainacht’ 🧚🏻 Salvia nemorosa ‘Ostfriesland’ I was introduced to propagation by my Mum when I was about 12. Shortly after that propagation became my passion. Over 30 years of joy and excitement! Now I can share it with you.
