La Jetée: what is the truth?

Think back to some of your fondest childhood memories. The ones that define who you are to this day. How detailed can you be with your recollection of these events? At what point does that detail become fabricated? Chris Marker’s (sorry I kept calling him Maker throughout the video essay) 1962 experimental film, La Jetee, is a film obsessed with these questions, using it’s time travel narrative to tackle the trick ones of this thing we call memory.
