Cleveland police officer shot on city's east side
An off-duty Cleveland Division of Police officer was shot on the city's east side on Tuesday evening. According to Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association President Jeff Follmer, the officer was shot near East 30th and Central Avenue. Cleveland Division of Police spokesperson Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia says the officer is "conscious and talking" and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. Police sources tell 3News' Lydia Esparra that the officer was shot in the arm.
