Miss Bell is singing the entire song in Korean, coached and accompanied on the piano by the composer himself. Her pronounciation is impeccable and has astonished many Korean listeners. It is part of a series of modern classical Korean songs written by Y.S. Kim and sung by non-Korean singers. It is our purpose to promote the modern classical Korean songs of contemporary composers and poets and to show that the language is not a barrier to perform these songs also for non-Korean singers. As you can hear also the Spanish soprano Lucia Revert and the German soprano Anna Oswald have participated in two recordings of Y.S. Kim's music and shows also great talent and effort in singing these songs in their original language.
