It has been 10 years since the release of the last 2D Mario game, New Super Luigi U. This game updates its artstyle with a completely new formula while still referencing previous titles. Each level contains entirely new power-ups that we have never seen in previous games, as well as ability badges to make the player's experience very customizable.
