The lecture: Explores the history of Financial Regulation from Glass-Steagall through the Basel reforms Discusses the UK Ring Fencing regulation which the UK has implemented but other countries have not. Explores the argued benefits of ring fencing and criticisms. Presents newly published work assessing how sophisticated market participants view ring fenced banking groups and their subsidiaries.
