INGREDIENTS To Activate Yeast: 1/2 Cup Warm Water 1 & 1/2 Tsp Sugar 1 & 1/2 Tsp Active Dry Yeast Sugar Syrup: 1/4 Cup + 2 Tbsp Powdered Sugar 1/4 Cup Water 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Essence Dough: 2 Cup (240 gm) All Purpose Flour/Maida 1 Tbsp Milk Powder 1/2 Tsp Salt 1 Tbsp Butter 2 Tbsp Tutti Frutti 2 Tsp Oil For Brushing: 1 Egg 1 Tsp Milk Serving: Butter METHOD Mix warm water with sugar until sugar gets dissolved. Add active drive yeast and mix well. Cover and set aside for 10-15 minutes. Mix powdered sugar with 1/4 cup water and vanilla essence until sugar is dissolved. Mix all purpose flour, milk powder, salt and mix well. Add yeast mixture, sugar and water mixture and make a dough. Knead this dough for 10-15 minutes. If using electric beater with dough hook attachment or stand mixer, knead the dough for 5-7 minutes. Add some oil and spread over the dough so that it doesn’t stick to the bowl. Cover and proof till it doubles in size. After proofing, deflate the dough and divide into 4 equal portions. Shape into balls and set on a baking tray. Let these proof for 30 minutes. Prepare a mixture of egg yolk and milk. Apply this over the buns after 30 minutes of proofing. Preheat OTG at 180°C for 10 minutes and bake the buns for 25 minutes. Take out the buns and place them on a wire rack and let them cool down. Slice and apply soft butter. Serve with a cup of hot tea and enjoy!
