Lanni, the Foundress and Spiritual Moderator of The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy, speaks to Shrine visitors after Friday’s Holy Mass Following an extraordinary life-saving encounter with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Catherine M. Lanni, who was on her deathbed giving birth to her fourth child, was miraculously healed through Our Lady’s intercession to Our Lord Jesus. Catherine, in gratitude, promised to someday “do something good” for Jesus in thanksgiving for her miracle. Catherine’s promise eventually resulted in the Ministry that she founded (and which was established by Cardinal Adam Maida on Easter Sunday, 2003), The Servants of Jesus of The Divine Mercy. The Ministry includes the as of today Shrine of Jesus The Divine Mercy, which is also home to the Women of Jesus’ Merciful Passion, an emerging womens’ community. Catherine M. Lanni has dedicated her life to spreading the message of The Divine Mercy. A wife of 45 years, a proud mother of four (including a son in heaven), grandmother of thirteen, and a woman who has been face to face with Jesus Christ, Catherine M. Lanni is sure to inspire you with her life story, her compassion for those in need, and her passion for Jesus The Divine Mercy and this Ministry. Her book “A Call to Trust” with her extraordinary testimony is available in the Shrine gift shop.
