Creating an indoor aquaponics garden - pandemic project #26474

I needed to lower my nitrate levels in my tank to include shrimps and get the levels healthier. The tank is planted, but they aren't able to pull out enough fast enough, so I decided after some research to build a system to let food plants pull it out faster. System is built so it stop draining to not overflow and uses a single canister pump the tank was using already. Many usually have their plants above their water supply, which was my delimma. I also wanted this to not look super obvious in the house so our cabinet is in front to hide it all. when plants are larger, some dollar store river rocks will go on top too, to help with the decor.
