Daily Mass, 6th Day with the Octave of the Nativity of the Lord, Saturday, December 30, 2023 Good morning! Welcome to St. Gilbert Church! Grant, we pray almighty God that the newness of the Nativity of the flesh of your Only Begotten Son may set us free for ancient servitude holds us bound beneath the yoke of sin. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen. Feast of St. Egwin, Founder of Evesham d.c. 720 AD Models of Gratitude - December 30, 2023 Reflect Sometimes we’re graced to be around a truly grateful person. He or she overlooks the negatives to focus on the world’s abundant delights. Poverty or pain doesn’t detract from their joy in God and creation. People want to be around them, to become as thankful as they are. Pray Giver of all good gifts, thank you for placing people in our lives who enflesh the meaning of gratitude. They take delight in the smallest, most ordinary things, showing us how to appreciate daily blessings, too. Without them, gratitude might simply be an abstraction. With their example, we learn how to practice it too. Amen. Act Phone or write a note, text or email to someone you’ve always appreciated, but seldom thanked. --- Kathy Coffey, Pause+Pray https://www.franciscanmedia.org/pause...
