Suspect arrested in cold case sexual assaults from the 1990s

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Sexual Assault Cold Case Unit arrested a suspect connected to two sexual assaults that happened more than 30 years ago. CMPD announced on Wednesday 55-year-old Dulaine Lotharp has been charged in connection to attacks reported in 1993 and 1994 in Charlotte. The first assault was reported on July 22, 1993, when a victim told police she was sexually assaulted by force by a man she did not know.
