Retired U-2/SR-71 pilot in U-2 chase car Beale AFB. Part 1.

My 90 year-old SR-71/U-2 pilot friend as he gets ready for a chase car ride chasing U-2s down the runway again. This was taken in 2018 and he passed away in 2021 at 93 years old. He was a true American hero. He was awarded three Distinguished Flying Crosses and 17 Air Medals among other honors. He flew 52 missions in the U-2 over Cuba during the missile crisis in 1962. He was also one of the friendliest and humble people I have ever had the pleasure of calling friend.
