We continue our Midweek Advent series entitled “Symbols of Christmas.” The Old Testament reading and sermon text is Genesis 49:9-10. The sermon is entitled “Symbols of Christmas: Lion of Judah.” The Hymn of Response includes some original stanzas that relate to this series: “From the tribe of Judah came Him Who like a Lion o’ercame All that cut us off from God, All that showed that we were flawed.”
