When it comes to honey soy, it gets a bit of hate. Probably because it’s super common in every supermarket deli or butcher shop. But it really is a delicious flavour. A real delicious balance of sweet, savoury and salty if done correctly. So…….what if you were to be able to make these delicious wings in your own home, using an air fryer in under 20 minutes? Crispy and delicious and so easy! Chicken Ingredients: 1kg / 2.2 lbs Chicken Wings, joints removed and split. 1 cup plain flour 1/2 cup corn flour (starch) 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup lemonade or soda water (cold) Your Favourite BBQ Seasoning (I used @lanesbbqau Garlic²) Sauce Ingredients: 1/2 cup soy sauce, salt reduced 3 tbs honey 1 tbs garlic, minced Method: Mix all sauce ingredients into a small pot and place on low heat to simmer While sauce is simmering, season chicken wings with your rub/seasoning In a bowl, place all flour and baking powder together and mix thoroughly In a second bowl, place half the flour and mixture and lemonade/soda water and mix thoroughly to create a wet batter. Dunk all seasoned chicken wings in wet batter In a second bowl, mix together remaining flour mixture and panko crumbs and mix. Place chicken from wet to dry batter, covering evenly Place chicken in the air fryer and cook at 200c / 400f for 15 to 20 minutes. Once cooked, place in a bowl and toss in your sauce. Enjoy
