Memorial of the Holy Name of Jesus, January 3 2025.

Mass today is an "explained" Mass, where I show the various rites up close, with explanations and history one each part of the Mass. If you have further questions, feel free to comment and I will attempt to explain in greater detail. The Memorial of the Holy Name of Jesus is a Christian observance honoring the name "Jesus," meaning "Yahweh saves," celebrated by many denominations, primarily on January 3rd in the Roman Catholic Church, historically linked to the Feast of the Circumcision on January 1st, a day to recognize Jesus' identity, power, and role as savior, often using the monogram IHS. Devotion was popularized by St. Bernardine of Siena, and it calls for acknowledging Jesus' lordship, as every knee bows to His name.
