Fr. Michael: When Newsies was released in theaters, it flopped. Disney would quickly pull the movie from the big screen but it would create a cult following on video. Years later, a hit broadway version would earned two Tony awards with several more nominations. The anthem for the show, Seize the Day, is a call to action and Jesus offers the same call.
