Homemade Old Fashioned Carrot Cake

This evening we are going to be making a very old fashioned recipe for the kind of carrot cake that I absolutely love. Baking from scratch is a whole lot easier and so much better than most people realize. Especially when it's a recipe like this cake that makes your heart and spirit happy as can be. Not many make carrot cakes using this old recipe and it's saddening to say the least. Hope you will give this amazing cake a chance and be amazed at how wonderful it tastes. Old Fashioned Carrot cake 3 cups of all purpose flour 2 tsp's of baking powder 2 tsp's of baking soda 2 tsp's of cinnamon 1 tsp of ginger powder 2 cups of cane sugar 3/4 cup of room temperature butter 3 large eggs or 2 duck eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 cup of buttermilk 2 cups of grated carrots 1 cup of grated coconut 1 15 ounce can of crushed pineapple, drained 1 cup of walnuts Frosting 1 1/2 blocks of cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup of butter, softened 1 tsp of vanilla 3 cups of powdered sugar Hope this video encourages you to make your own homemade old fashioned carrot t.
