"For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.” The Book of Ezra, written between 460-440 BC, illustrates the process of God's word being fulfilled to the exiled Israelites, introducing the reconstruction of the temple by the first wave of Babylonian exiles and the word-centered reform of the second wave of exiles. Ezra, the temple rebuilder, faith reformer, and intercessor, foreshadows Jesus Christ. As you read through the Book of Ezra, which takes 49 minutes, may a spiritual revival take place among individuals, families, churches, and our nation.
