United with Christ in Death & Life-Rom 6:5

Spurgeon was reflecting on the late venerable and godly Dr. Archibald Alexander, of Princeton, who'd been a preacher of Christ for 60 years and a professor of divinity for 40 years. He died on October 22, 1851. On his death-bed, he was heard to say to a friend, "All my theology is reduced to this narrow compass--Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners." This coming Resurrection Sunday we will consider "United With Christ in Death and Life" (Rom 6:5) and the multiplied benefits that accrue by faith to saved sinners because of Christ's death and resurrection.
