LIPO FIRE DUE TO CHARGING MISUSE - 2023

Heres a short video of one of my lipo's exploding peeps ! im putting it on here in the hope it will educate / warn others of the dangers of miss use during charging ! Yes this was my fault peeps and not the battery / brand - i need to make it clear that ive never had an issue with this brand of battery in over 15 yrs of using them so please dont knock the brand, I put four batteries on charge outside my house on a table and came inside to work on my computer, after around 20 mins charging i could hear (had the patio door open) the sound of plastic creaking / expanding so went out side to look and behold this pack was bloated up and expanding , I unplugged it and dropped it on the floor waiting for it to pop - after 7 mins of still expanding i rolled it under my foot and off it went, when i checked the charger it turns out that id set it up on 4 cell (it was a 3 cell 2200mah) and commenced charging, maybe i was tired and F"*^"*D up i dont know but ive been charging batts for over 15 yrs now and have made this mistake once or twice before and the charger has ALWAYS instantly sounded a warning / alarm with a WRONG VOLTAGE message appearing on the screen ! Maybe the charger is broken now (had it over 5 yrs) i dont know, No excuses peeps i should have been more vigilant - but i hope this text and video helps others to be more vigilante ! stay safe peeps 👍 Ps - it ceases to amaze me how fast these lipos explode and burn and the stifling smoke alone would probably overwhelm you in a small room !!!!
