This is a great song - lovely chord progression. According to Songfacts, Osborne knew the song had hit potential but his producer wasn't convinced. The instrumental demo was a faster tempo and he didn't have the benefit of hearing Osborne's romantic lyrics. "I fought with George Duke over that," the singer told The New Orleans Advocate.
