An atom bomb accidentally dropped (from a height of nearly three miles) from an American B-47. The whole area was soon checked with geiger counters, but no trace of radio-active contamination was reported. It happened at Mars Bluff, a small village in South Carolina. The burst of the conventional high explosive shattered a farm house about a hundred yards from the crater. Several homes were damaged and six people were slightly injured. MS crater. Pan up to house.
