Good morning! Welcome to Esperanza First in Del Rio, TX! Today, Senior Pastor Dr. Jim Wilson is continuing the series on the book of Romans. Today, Pastor Wilson unpacks Romans 3:9-20 to highlight the universal nature of sin, emphasizing that both Jews and Gentiles alike are enslaved by it. Human nature is inherently sinful, so no one can claim righteousness by birthright or by obeying the Law. Everyone needs salvation and all need God's grace and redemption that only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Sermon Points: 1. All are sinners (vss 9-18) 2. All are guilty (vs 19) 3. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
