Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (JOHN 14:27 KJV) EXPLANATION: Today we are going to meditate on John 14:27. Let us see what this verse says, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; ..." Beloved, the Lord give you peace. Today, in the world, we expect something peaceful to change our mind or thought from the things we face. We need peace of mind when we come home from work or take care of the family for a whole day or when we have a long day trip or deal with a lot of illness. The situations we face due to such daily activities create more stress in life. We seek peace of mind in this world by talking to your loved one, or by sitting in your home drinking a cup of coffee or listening to soft music. You may think that these will give you peace. But even these can only bring temporary peace. It does not give you peace of mind for a long time. Because we face the same problems when we go back the next day. Yet, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: ..." You can see the scripture calling him the ‘Lord of Peace’, so imagine what his peace would be like! We read in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. Yes, dear friends, Jesus crucified your troubles and tribulations. That is why his peace has so much power. He fills you today with this peace. Get this, get the benefit of facing the world and live a peaceful life. Because he who is in you is greater than he who is in this world. PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father! Thank you for today's promise. Lord, I put all my troubles and sufferings at your feet. With you, I can conquer the world, because you are greater than everyone in this world. I humbly ask for your peace.
