In a large skillet on medium heat, melt 1/2 stick of butter and add optional* (1/4 cup of vegetable oil). Sauté 1/2 cup each of chopped celery, onion, carrot, red and green bell pepper. Next, add 2 cups of cooked turkey/chicken and 4-5 cups of chicken, turkey, or beef stock to the mixture, starting with 4 cups and adding more if needed. Season to your liking; you can't do without 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning and ground sage. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes on medium heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Pour the skillet mixture into the cornbread bowl, followed by 3 to 4 tablespoons of melted butter, and mix everything together without mixing too hard. Optional* add 1 to 2 cans of cream of chicken for more moisture. Don't Overmix. The dressing should be moist but not too soggy, almost a thicker oatmeal texture. Transfer the dressing mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake in the oven at 350 to 375°F for about 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown. The rest is history. #Thanksgiving #Christmas Music: have yourself a merry little christmas Musician: Rook1e
