I've known and used the Arbor knot, or Canadian jam knot, for a very long time, even though I didn't know it was called that. It's a knot that can make your life incredibly easier outdoors. It's used to attach a jam knot to a reel using an overhand knot. It consists of two overhand knots, the first forming a stopper knot and the second a loop. Among American survivalists and bushcrafters, this knot is known as the Canadian jam knot. *What can I use the Canadian jam knot for?* As a jam knot, the Arbor knot has many uses, such as securing sleeping mats, tarps, equipment, or firewood.
