"Come, Ye Thankful People, Come", A Capella, Soprano, Solo, Raw Voice
This was our Processional Hymn for Thanksgiving Day Mass 2019. Title: Come, Ye Thankful People, Come Text: Henry Alford, 1810 - 1871, alt. Tune: "St. George's Windsor", 77 77 D by George J. Elvey, 1816 - 1983 Harmony: Richard Proulx, 1937 - present Copyright: GIA Publications, Inc.1986 Gather Hymnal #: 564 Verse 1 Come, ye thankful people, come, Raise the song of harvesthome: All is safely gathered in, Ere the winter storms begin; God, our Maker, does provide For our wants to be supplied; Come to God's own temple, come, Rise the song of harvesthome. Verse 2 All the world is God's own field, Fruit unto God's praise to yield; What and tare together sown, Unto joy or sorrow grown; First the blade, and then the ear, Then the full corn shall appear: Lord of harvest, grant that we Wholesome grain and purse may be. Verse 3 For the Lord our God shall come, And shall take the harvest home; From the field shall in that day All offenses purge away, Giving angels charge at last In the fire the tares to cast, But the fruitful ears to store In God's garner evermore. Verse 4 Even so, Lord, quickly come To your final harvest home; Gather all your people in, Free from sorrow, free from sin; There, for ever purified, In your presence to abide: Come, with all your angels, come, Raise the glorious harvesthome. Sorry my voice is junk, as a consequence of the uncontrolled dietary content of Thanksgiving food at family gatherings. The background picture is a Turkey Ala King Omelette I had the other day. Although I'm still excitedly waiting to have a kitchen of my own to make a healthier version of it, I'm still grateful for the restaurant's inspiration! =========================================== Gather Hymnal #’s are from the Gather Comprehensive Choir Edition, Copyright 1994 by GIA Publications, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. Sorry Listeners, I am not a professional singer. However, I feel I have been called to spread God's Love through music. If you find my singing helps you in any way, then that is only by God's Grace, because I am a very meek and shy human who is average, if not bad, at singing. I am only able to achieve anything praiseworthy when I truly surrender my voice to God; if I sing for anyone or anything else, I sound terrible. I believe that you will hear what God needs you to hear as long as I do my best to let go of fear and listen to His Will. I don't really have a good space to record or have really good equipment. This is my RAW voice. I don't have any background music. I'm doing the sounds from memory with sheet music, because I don't have a clean recording of it as reference, and I haven't really developed a sense of pitch perfection. I'm not using any special microphone system or any sort of sound dampening. I don't have good acoustics or means of harmony; I'm not even singing in the bathroom. I am not combining tracks to harmonize with myself or using any other editing; This is exactly how it would sound if someone sang to you in person with their regular unaltered voice. Samsung Galaxy J3 Easy Voice Recorder App Shotcut Feel free to make requests! Because of my belief in my calling, please make sure the songs are Christian and in the public domain. Also, providing me with sheet music will prioritize your request. I can dedicate them to a person you are praying for and put their and your name in the video. :) Also, sorry, I don’t really have time to dedicate to making really nice backgrounds for these videos. If I ever get popular enough to make a living on online monetization, I’d like to do better recordings with better equipment and visuals. Have a blessed day, and may you always strive towards love! =========================================== Note: If you know my identity, please do not share it with others for the protection of those I mention on my blog and myself. As everyone else, I explain everything with the bias of my own perspective, and some might interpret my intentions incorrectly and become angry. Everyone is entitled to their feelings, however, some are unable to separate them from action yet, and may intentionally or unintentionally harm others. So again, please do not mention who I am or my relationship to you to anyone. In addition, anything I do should be to glorify God and so my identity is insignificant and unnecessary in comparison. http://strivetowardslove.home.blog/ P. S.
