FIRST PASS — THE RUNNING MAN (2025) | Mini Review

CineSteel — First Time Watching: The Running Man (2025) This is my uncut FIRST PASS on Edgar Wright’s The Running Man — my raw thoughts after watching it for the first time. No polished script, no cutting it down, just me talking through how I felt about the movie. This remake had me locked in early: the dystopian world, the Network controlling everything, the game-show premise, and Ben Richards doing whatever he can to save his daughter. Edgar Wright absolutely nailed the opening. But once the movie shifts into the middle and third act… it starts slipping hard. From adaptation issues to pacing drops, to tension disappearing once Ben becomes the “Last Man,” this movie had the potential to be great but lands somewhere in the middle for me. Rating: 3/5 Fun, wild moments, great opening… mid execution. If you watched it, drop your thoughts below — I wanna know if y’all agree or if I’m bugging. 👕 FULLMETAL: https://FULLMETAL.Store 📸 IG: @fullmetalco Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/RichieM/ Music by RJ KNOWS
