A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke. —Glory to you, Lord. At that time: 37 While Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee invited him to dine with him. Jesus came in and reclined at table. 38 The Pharisee was astonished that Jesus had not washed his hands before the meal. 39 The Lord said to the Pharisee, “You Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of extortion and wickedness. 40 You fools! Did not He who made the outside also make the inside? 41 Instead, give to the needy out of your possessions, and everything will be clean for you.” —Word of Salvation. —Glory to you, Lord.
