This was one of the first songs I wrote and was actually written for a theme song for an "All Women's Spring Renewal Convention" held in the Montrose Pavilion, Convention Center. God helped me write several other theme songs for this annual convention. Women from all over the U.S. came to this event and I was honored to get to share my songs four years in a row. The response from "The Fragrance of Jesus" was overwhelming and I began to pay attention when the Lord prompted me to write, thereafter. When I recorded this song in Nashville, TN, the Recording Engineer, whirled his chair around so he could face me and said, "I've recorded every gospel artist you can think of, but never, in all my 25 years of recording have I ever heard a song concerning this thought. I absolutely love it, this is a great song!" The Fragrance of Jesus continues to be a much requested song and I still enjoy singing it. Every time it feels like a fresh and new prayer from my heart, which it actually is. I've posted a live recording of this song, that I recorded with TBN, but I wanted to add this version with the pictures. I certainly hope it is a blessing to you!
