Punctuation Marks are a set of symbols that seperates and gives meaning to words. It tells reader where to pause, what words are quotations, and more. The most common punctuation marks includes full stop, commas, apostrophes, colons, question marks, exclamation marks, hyphens, parentheses and semicolons. 1.) Comma is used to separate clauses in a sentence or items in a list. Can also be used to introduce direct speech or punctuate parentheses. 2.) Apostrophe is used to indicate the omission of a letter or letters from a word. 3.) Colon is used to introduce a list, further explanation or a quote. 4.) Question mark is used after a sentence, word, etc, to indicate a direct question. 5.) Exclamation mark is used to indicate strong feelings, excitement, surprise or emphasis in written language. 6.) Hyphen is used to join words or parts of words. 7.) Parentheses is used to give supplementary information or explanations. 8.)
