Craters of the Moon with a Smartphone and Cheap Spotting Scope! [Digiscoping]

If you would like to get into amateur astronomy on a budget, a great way to start is with a cheap spotting scope and your smartphone. Here is a quick video I made using a Simmons Blazer 20-60x 60mm spotting scope I bought at Wal-Mart. The smartphone I used is a Google Pixel 3a XL. The footage could be much better by using a spotting scope smartphone adapter which you can buy or make your own DIY version using one of the many tutorials on YouTube. The original footage was shaky so I stabilized this with Adobe Premiere Pro. #moon #digiscoping
