Did Update 14 save Elite Dangerous Odyssey for you? So Commanders… Update 14 for Elite Dangerous Odyssey landed 2 days ago. Are you enjoying the update? Do you think this is a step in the right direction to save the game we all love? Do you think that eventually possibly even soon that we will finally get a face to face experience with the Thargoids themselves? There are so many unanswered questions right now. In the stream today the CM’s talked about how there are new things to discover in the maelstrom. However all I have seen from these sites is just a new material to farm for corrosion resistance modules. If you ever try to get to the heart of the maelstrom you will just be yeeted out of the cloud. This leads me to believe that the answers might not actually be in the maelstrom cloud itself. Now I haven’t tried to check out any of the old guardian sites or any of the old Thargoid meta alloy farming grounds, but perhaps it’s worth a shot to see if there is anything happening out there as well? Away from the battle grounds. As for the new missions that are basically old missions packaged together do you like them? I mean in a way it’s the same thing, but just packaged together in what I guess is new content but not in a way? I have to admit I haven’t done any of them yet although it just seems to me that they are the same old missions just packaged into a new box. How do you think the new war effort is going to pan out? According to Fdev if we as players do nothing then basically the Thargoids will take over the entire Milky Way. So basically if you are a space pacifist there will eventually be nowhere to hide. I mean I have to be slightly skeptical about this as I seriously doubt Fdev wants the entire Milky Way to burn. Although I do believe they want us to believe this in order to help the war effort. One thing I have noticed that I am enjoying the most about update 14 for Elite Dangerous Odyssey is I no longer crash with the mauve adder error. I have also been told by other Commanders that their gaming experience is also much more stable especially when it comes to random crashes. Not to mention most players are experiencing much better latency as well. Basically Fdev I love you for this as I was getting very frustrated trying to come back to enjoy playing Elite Dangerous Odyssey only to crash over and over and over again.
