BARF Diet-- Raw Fed Dogs' Breakfast! (Long haired dachshunds, Wolfgang and Felix)

A full length video of my dachshunds finishing their breakfast this morning. In their bowls: 80/10/10 ground Guinea Hen Quail eggs with shell Bison bone broth Organic Spirulina powder I alternate their meals every few days. Info about my dachshunds and why I switched them to a raw diet: [Wolfgang] Born: June 2008 (11 years old in 2019) Coat: shaded red, tweenie Kibble-Fed: June 2008- January 2017 Raw-Fed: January 2017- now [Felix] Born: July 2017 (2 years old in 2019) Coat: shaded English cream, tweenie Kibble-Fed: July 2017- January 2017 Raw-Fed: January 2017- now Why raw? Wolfgang and Felix are both AKC, purebred dachshunds. I fed them both high- end kibble from the moment I got them until a few years ago. Wolfgang was a healthy dog until he turned 2 years old. His teeth had so much plaque and his gums were diseased. I brushed his teeth and gave him dental treats before this so it wasn't my fault. He started gaining so much weight that he couldn't walk properly. He grew some lipomas under his skin and he developed early arthritis. His coat was also starting to lose its luster and sheen. I didn't know about all the issues that kibble-fed dogs can suffer from, nor did I even think that there could be a healthier alternative. While it is true that kibble includes all the nutrients dogs need, they're not balanced meals. Imagine eating cereal or meal- replacement bars for every meal of the day until we died! That's not good for humans so neither is kibble. In 2018, after I got Felix and after doing research on canine health and nutrition, I switched both dogs to raw and have never looked back. Wolfgang's teeth started getting better after we introduced Raw Meaty Bones to his diet. With added supplements and the switch to a raw diet, Wolfgang is walking so much better, lost a bunch of weight, and his coat Is super soft again! Felix is turning 3 in 2020 and he still has pearly white teeth with no health issues so far!
