Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza North Richland Hills, Texas - January 1993 / What I Like About You 1993
This video shows the Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza in North Richland Hills, Texas around February 1993 while playing the January 1993 showtape, the What I Like About You 1993 live show, and Birthday Star 1992 on their 3-Stage. The store opened on April 7, 1982 with as a Showbiz Pizza Place with the Rock-Afire Explosion. Around 1985 they would receive the Country Stage overlay for the Country Klunk showtape before reverting the RAE back to its original look between 1987-1988. Around that time they presumably got the 1988 remodel, before receiving Concept Unification around 1991-1992. Interestingly, they kept the solid blue curtain valance that they received around the time they reverted their RAE instead of replacing it. This video shows them after they received Concept Unification, with the store having elements from the 1988 remodel albeit with the 1991 CEC Pizza postcards and CD Awards that they most likely received around 1991-1992. They also had the early 1990s Tux Chuck walkaround with a black derby hat which is shown in this video. They would most likely receive the 1993 remodel later that decade as well as Operation Thumb Chuck before replacing their 3-Stage with a Studio C 1997 stage around 1999. Around 2003, they would receive the prototype version of the 2005 remodel, which kept the CD Awards, had some unique posters, and removed the showroom walls, balcony seating, artifact shelves, and painted some walls purple, before receiving the finalized version around the late 2000s. They would receive 2.0 by May 2023. As of November 2024, the store is still open with the 2.0 remodel. All rights go to CEC Entertainment.
